Sony Classics Takes Driving Lessons

Sony Pictures Classics has picked up North American rights to Driving Lessons, the film that marks the directing debut of Mrs. Brown screenwriter Jeremy Brock.
In Brock's loosely autobiographical coming-of-age tale, Ben ("Harry Potter" star Rupert Grint) is a shy teenager living in London who is trying to escape from the clutches of his stern and religious mother (Laura Linney). He finally gets his chance when he meets a retired actress (Julie Walters) who whisks him off to Edinburgh, where he learns to drive, dance, and pick up girls.
No Stateside release date has been set.
