MARVIN EMNES has made the move from Middlesbrough to Swansea permanent.
Shortly before 8pm the Dutchman put pen to paper at the Liberty Stadium bringing to an end a six-year stay on Teesside, having passed a medical earlier in the day.
Boro Head Cach Aitor Karanka said: "He needed the change. He needed to change not his mentality but his mood because he is a good player - he played in the Premier League with Swansea last season.
"But he was with me just two months and it was clear we needed to change as he was in a mood which was difficult for him. He wasn't comfortable and for this reason I think this move is better for everybody."
Emnes, 26, joined Boro from Sparta Rotterdam in 2008, going on to make 162 appearances scoring 31 goals.
He has enjoyed two previous loan spells with the Swans and departs with the best wishes for a successful future from everyone at the Riverside.
