I really like that scene, because thomas is thinking on his feet. But he knows that she knows, so he's got to think faster. I really enjoyed it, because we saw thomas being slowly squashed in that scene and there is nothing he could do about it. But you could see behind his eyes he's raging. But he has to take it because this is his employee. Lady Grantham owned him in that scene, as you guys say it over here, to give him a smack down.

And I think that is another mistake Robert makes, that is to take it all for granted. So when a art historian comes right in over the hill with his etchings, you better take care.

He(Bricker) is somebody who sees she(Cora) is a woman of thoughts, passion and a woman who's beautiful and full of allure for him. But unfortunately he transgresses and feels it's his place to claim his feelings.
