有女蝗Neta Rivkin 还有恰卡Liubov Chakashyna
恰卡
Liubov Charkashyna is a former rhythmic gymnast from Belarus and the current athletes’ representative of the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG). She won the gold medals with ball and clubs at the 2011 European Championships also held in Minsk.
UEG: Can you tell us something about yourself (name, age, experience, etc)?
Charkashyna: My name is Liubov Charkashyna. I was born on 23 December 1987 in Brest, Belarus. First I did acrobatics, later I switched to artistic gymnastics and only at the age of 9 I started with rhythmic gymnastics under the guidance of Evgeniy Nikolaevitch Zolotnitskiy. At 12 I made the national junior group and I competed in my first ever European Championships in Switzerland in 2001 where we won the bronze medal for our exercise with 5 ropes. But already from 2000 I participated in the individual program as well.
UEG: What is your best memory in gymnastics?
Charkashyna: Now I look back on all my moments in gymnastics with happiness, gratitude and love! There were many moments that made me to be stronger! But of course my most cherished medal is my bronze won at the Olympic Games in London 2012. And also my two gold medals (ball and clubs) won at the 2011 European Championships here in Minsk. It was after this competition that I was confident in my own abilities. It's an incredible feeling when you are awarded a gold medal and the national anthem of your country is played, and you realize that you met the expectations and gave people something to celebrate.
UEG: How many European Championships did you compete in?
Charkashyna: I never counted medals or amount of competitions. I think I participated in roughly 10 European Championships as a gymnast and another 2 as a coach.
UEG: You are now the FIG Athletes’ representative. What does this mean? How has this experience been?
Charkashyna: I am happy that I was chosen to be the athletes’ representative at FIG. I understand my responsibility in this role. And I really want gymnasts to make suggestions to improve our sport and our rules. After all, it’s the athletes, their personality, their talent that the audience comes to watch. And I believe that together we can make the world of rhythmic gymnastics even more fantastic and understandable for the public.
UEG: What are your expectations for these European Championships?
Charkashyna: For the 2015 European Championships in Minsk I really look for to special moments and new names in gymnastics! I expect an interesting and honest battle, exciting emotions and I really hope that Minsk will positively amaze ; )
UEG: Do you have any advice for the participating gymnasts?
Charkashyna: I wish all participants the best of luck, successful exercises and that they remember that every one of them is important! Don’t stop believing in yourself, in your strength, in your coach and in your lucky star! You will succeed!
UEG: Who / what do the spectators definitely need to watch?
Charkashyna: The spectators will see the best gymnasts of Europe. Enjoy Kudryavtseva’s intricate work, see the spectacular exercises of Mamum, be energised by Staniouta, get a feel of Georgia through Salome’s performances, get to know new names in gymnastics and find out the names of the new Champions! And at the very end of it all an enchanting gala awaits you!
Thank you very much Liubov! Looking for to seeing you in Minsk
