Sometimes i can't help thinking that we spend more time than other people in learning english but less time in other more useful subject , is it worth ? You know as a chinese even if you have been go abroad , people will not accept you …because worried about your accent. So as an student who major in english , what should we do ? To study english deeply or study more subjects ?

haa, I just think what you are thinking about is too much. If you want to get acception, confidence is the most important thing, then other things...
accent is not himalayas, you can and must overcome it for a higher level as english-majored graduate
continuing to listen and speak loudly, you will feels a quick progress unbelivable, of sure you try to communicate with those native speaker.
