Chaeyeon made successful debut as actor through tvN Drinking Solo
Chaeyeon : I didnt doing well. Other sunbaenim doing great job than me, even I was praised I didnt feel doing well enough (laugh).
Later Kibum developing loveline. Between Kibum and Gongmyung which character is the closest with your ideal type?
Chaeyeon : Me and Kibum develop a loveline, thought at ending it would be an open ending. If he pass the exam he will be my boyfriend but if he doesnt haha. I think of combination of both. I like Gongmyung character who always being nice. While Kibum sometimes act like a kid and not being warm person. Mixture both of character would be great.
Wonder if Drinking Solo chatacter is similiar with the real you?
Chaeyeon : I am the one who easy to talk, especially with the closer friend like Yebin. But with other even they are younger I need atleast two month to drop the honorifics (laugh). Moreover I always been hiding infront camera, my fans says Im becoming different person, honestly I need a time work in new environment. Ah! when first I get scripted Drinking Solo, I take ice princess role, cold character even she throwing someone handphone. That scene with key sunbaenim is my debut. I feel sorry. It so hard to catch up with the character, but at the end it attach with me.
What is more interesting, being actor or idol?
Chaeyeon : Both are fun but difficult. When preparing as idol it feels difficult, when preparing for acting it feel difficult too. My personality is bit timid. Actually I had hard personality. My parent saw me dancing and singing first time at showcase (laugh). There is a time I have a lot of worry during PD101, but I able to overcome.
On the second half this year, Chaeyeon being three person, DIA, Actress, IOI. Wonder what this year means to Chaeyeon?
Chaeyeon : There is 365 day a year. But for me its like 36 days and 5 hour. It went so fast. I asked my company to giving back my youth haha. It is really valuable time. During PD101 is the hardest part.
Mentally hard, take ads, photoshoot, record several song, made MV, take jacket photo in only span two weeks. At that time my stamina get increased and I didnt feel tired of it. Rather I feel if I didnt do this it will be wasted to being lost.
After DIA promotion ended, you back into IOI, did you have a thought?
DIA member is pretty young, but IOI member is more young. Im really get busy with the activities. My energy is overflowing. DIA and IOI is great friend. Get energy from both of them. Sometimes they give me a laugh, sometimes they are the one who comfort me. Both group are great. I Get double power from it.
You already finish last activities with IOI?
Chaeyeon : I feel sad. I talk to each other and didnt know what to do. There is still think I wanna do together but sad know it was the last. But I really grateful to national producer and hope all member will do well
