While making "Carrie," Olivier's favorite way of getting around the studio lot was by bicycle. And his bike's name? Heathcliff

In 1959, Vivien Leigh starred in the stage production of "Look After Lulu." The play was adapted by Noel Coward, from Georges Feydeau's french play, "Occupe-toi d'Amelie."

Vivien Leigh and Larry weren't able to spend Larry's 32nd birthday together-- she was filming "Gone With the Wind" in Hollywood while he was doing a play on Broadway-- so Vivien ordered him a birthday cake. When she arrived at the bakery, to pick it up, she decorated the top herself, writing "Larry darling, Happy Birthday!" Then she air shipped the cake to him in New York.

Remembering George Reeves today, on the anniversary of his death. George played Stuart Tarleton in "Gone With the Wind" (he's standing next to Vivien Leigh), while Fred Crane played his twin brother, Brent.
Reeves later garnered fame on TV as Superman. He died from a gunshot wound, in 1959. There's a lot of doubt over whether it was self-inflicted or murder. A number of years ago, Hollywood made a very good movie about his death called "Hollywoodland."

When Vivien Leigh was asked what her beauty secret was, she replied: "Rest and sleep. And another one is the ability to relax. I had to work for this. Thornton Wilder told me, 'If you really want to know how to relax, watch a cat and how it sleeps and how it stretches when it wakens.' Now if I only have ten minutes to rest, I can sleep nine of them."

Vivien Leigh attends a recording of "Fool Britannia." It was a comedic take on the Christine Keeler-- Profumo affair in England, with Peter Sellers and Joan Collins in the lead parts.1966

Here's Cecil Parker and Vivien Leigh, as father and daughter, in "Storm In A Teacup." Cecil also starred with Vivien in two other movies: "Dark Journey" and "Caesar and Cleopatra."

Vivien Leigh donned crinolines once again, for her role in "The Lady of the Camellias." The play was part of her world tour, in 1961.

Petty Officer George Goddard snapped this pic of Vivien Leigh as she boarded the HMS Formidable, in 1943. She was on tour with ENSA (the British equivalent of USO), entertaining the troops stationed in Gibraltar & in North Africa. I'm not 100% sure about the identity of the two women pictured with Vivien. The woman next to Vivien looks like Kay Young. The general consensus on the second woman, with the sunglasses, is that she's Beatrice Lillie.
