Try to get housing close to Cox Hall. I was in Dobbs Hall which was the best by the way! But being in the center of campus is very beneficial, whether being rushed to get to class or getting something to eat.
Save up or rack up the Dooley Dollars. The DUC or the DUCling is the most horrendous food you will ever eat. Trust me when I say you want as many Dooley Dollars as possible for snacks, Kahldis, or Cox Hall.
Make sure when you are registering for classes to get your favorites first. Whether it be a hard class to get into or a class you’re genuinely interested in making sure they are the first classes you sign up for because classes fill up quickly!
Join only a small amount of clubs. Don’t spread yourself too thin. Get some quality experience in a couple of solid clubs. No one cares if you’re in 20 clubs! It’s what you do in the clubs you’re in that matters!
I highly recommend Greek Life. Just because Emory is not really known for having a fabulous social environment.
That’s all I can think of! Good luck!
