For me, not only is Danny Gokey's music powerful (the lyrics are amazing and his voice just captivates you), his music videos are also pretty incredible! I feel that he's making a statement with his work and he's definitely touching lots of lives through it. Through his music, I get the impression that he actually cares about the world (which is rather rare among contemporary artists out there now) even when we all get to know only but a fraction of it during our time here.
Listening through all the tracks on his album, I'd use the word "hope" to sum up the overall message I, as a listener, am getting. In today's hectic and dog-eat-dog world, it's nice to feel hopeful and believe that society is not all cold and selfish, but that one can find hope in some of the most unexpected places and moments in life. I'm glad to discover hope and people who deliver that message.
"I will not say goodbye" is one of my favorite songs on Danny Gokey's CD (titled My Best Days). The first track "My best days are ahead of me" is also at the top of my list (video posted a few days ago), but so far my fave is "Tiny life." Listening to his music, I want to sift away all the distractions in life and just focus on the things that really matter.
